The Authority managed the renovation of the historic lighthouse, completing the project in 2017. Through a partnership with Maurice River Historical Society and the County Freeholder Board, The Authority was able to complete $850,000 of exterior renovations, funded by grants from the NJ Historic Trust Grant and the Federal Highway Administration. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the lighthouse was constructed in 1849 along the Maurice River, on the north side of the Delaware Bay.
